QUESTION: I just listened to an interview that Dr. Manhart had with Patrick Timpone. The information about the diastemic cyst especially interested me. The lower part of my two middle front teeth is frequently black. I have dark teeth on the lower jaw below these teeth as well (especially at the back of the teeth). I have no space between my two front teeth, but wonder if these blackened teeth could be due to the fuso bacteria (I haven’t looked up the spelling of that yet). I’m a tea drinker but it’s always green tea. Thanks in advance for your reply. Debra in OR
ANSWER: Glad to hear you got the radio interview from Patrick. Your black stain problem may be from your green tea or any mouth rinses (like Listerine) which stains teeth and you should dump and never touch again. Send us an x-ray of the upper front central, #8-9 like in the article and we may find something causing this stain.
